Celebrate the season with Origin Scotland, and a host of musicians and singers in a magical evening of Christmas music.

Listen to new Christmas music and join in on ancient Christmas carols. Everything you need to start the season off with a bang.

Led by the Origin Scotland Choir, Band and Orchestra, and lead singers Unoma Okudo, Bethany Coyle, Bruce Davis, Jonny Russell and Rebecca Hardie.

Soloist: Unoma Okudo
Unoma was born in Lagos Nigeria and was blessed to have a mother who sang and encouraged her to sing and play piano from a young age. Having moved to Glasgow in 2002 to study medicine she has since performed as the opening act for artists including Macy Gray and Alexander O'Neal and has provided backing vocals to musical icons such as Donnie McLean and Kylie Minogue and sang at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow as well as releasing her own EP Odyssey in 2016. Throughout her life, Unoma has also sung in church and regularly leads worship there. Unoma is no stranger to Origin having first sung with us at Christmas 2019 and after that on many occasions, check out her own music in the Songwriter Sessions on our YouTube channel.

Soloist: Bethany Coyle
Bethany Coyle is a worship leader and singer-songwriter based in Edinburgh. After studying classical music at university, she moved into instrumental teaching and has also spent the last few years playing and leading worship at various festivals + events around central Scotland. Her debut EP, Beginning / End was released in 2016.

Soloist: Jonny Russell
Jonny lives in Tranent, East Lothian and is married with three kids. He became a Christian at a young age. Jonny grew up in a church environment and it was hard not to be involved in singing. He started performing in church events at first. Going to Holland a few times to sing in a. He also appeared twice on national TV, sang for a bit in a sixties band then joined the Edinburgh Acting School where he performed in several Edinburgh Festival shows and Pantos, twice as the Dame. He is a founding member of Origin's Foot Stomping Gospel Band.

Soloist: Bruce Davis
Bruce was born in Reading PA. After living and teaching in Israel for two years, he came to settle in Edinburgh 38 years ago. Bruce is a teacher, performer, conductor and composer. He holds a bachelor's degree from The Eastman School of Music in the USA, and a master's degree from The Edinburgh University in composition. He has sung for 15 yeas with Scottish Opera, in the chorus and small roles. He is also part of R3 Tenors who perform for weddings and corporate events. Bruce worships at Hope City church in Edinburgh.

Soloist: Rebecca Hardie
Rebecca is a singer-songwriter, music teacher and worship leader based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Having moved here to studied music at Edinburgh University she met her husband James and they now have a happy but chaotic life with their 3 boys; Oliver, Luke and Joel. It is her true passion to use her talent to draw people into Gods life changing presence through worship.

Artistic Director: Colin Peckham
Colin founded Origin in 1997. He studied music at Edinburgh University and theology with the University of South Africa. He served as a music advisor and worship leader for the III Lausanne Congress on World Evangelisation and has directed many orchestras including the All Souls Orchestra and the Cape Town Philharmonic. He is the director of the Cape Town Gospel Choir. He's never happier than when he is writing orchestrations of congregational songs to lift and inspire. He is a missionary with Artists in Christian Testimony Intl, married to Norma with a son.

Choir Director: Jamie Lang
Jamie is a piano teacher and accompanist at an Edinburgh school, and is music director at Musselburgh Baptist Church. He joined the Origin leadership team in 2020.

Band Leader: David Biddulph
Dave leads the band from the bass guitar and has served as Origin's band director and manager since 2002. His day job is as the centre manager for Bethany Christian Trust.

Speaker: Rev Ian MacDonald
Ian was appointed as Parish Minister in 2017, having been Associate Minister since 2005. He studied at the University of Aberdeen, followed by post-graduate research at Edinburgh University. Ian believes the Lord is raising up a people in our midst who will love God and take Him at his word, discipling others to do the same. He and his wife Colleen are both enthusiastically involved in various ministries and they have three young children.

Scripture Reader: Heather Holdsworth
Heather has a keen interest in how people work and, following a 2 year diploma in Practical Theology, completed a MA in Spiritual Formation in Moody Theological Seminary, Chicago in 2010. Heather works as an itinerant teacher in Bible colleges and is an artist. She lives in St Andrews with her husband, Adrian.
